Reasons NOT to do a Boudoir Shoot

So you keep hearing about other women doing a boudoir shoot and are thinking maybe this is something I should try.

Before you comment on this, think about the reasons not to do it.

Reason 1: You may end up with an extreme amount of confidence. This could mean feeling comfortable in your own skin, walking into a party knowing you look hot as hell, not giving a damn about what other people think, loving yourself the way you are, etc.

Reason 2: You might have too much fun. We all know that too much of a good thing can be bad, right? What if bad is actually good…huh? Ya, that didn’t come out right. Seriously though you may laugh a lot, you may enjoy the experience and you may even come back for another shoot one day. Lastly, you could even let your guard down and be vulnerable for once.

Reason 3: You may become emotional. What if you do this and you end up seeing yourself in a way you never could have imagined? You may be struggling with depression, over eating, maybe you just lost a bunch of weight or got a divorce and you didn’t know you could feel this good about yourself.

Those are just a few reasons not to do a boudoir shoot. Don’t do it if you don’t want to have an overabundance of confidence if you don’t like having fun and especially if you are needing a pick-me-up.

Truthfully though, a boudoir is more than just a photography session. It is an experience where you are catered to, told how amazing you truly are and a place to let go. This is a feeling that you can not replicate anywhere else. You may get told all the time that you are beautiful but do you feel this way even when you wake up in the morning, maybe you were up all night with the baby, what about when you can’t zip up those jeans or you just went on a 5-mile run. Whatever the case maybe you should feel this way all the time no matter the situation. Boudoir might just do that for you. What are you waiting for? Book a session today, and invest in yourself because this time it is for you!
